Required documents:
valid identity card, driver's license issued by the Prefect’s Office, or passport; Tax Code [Codice Fiscale] or National Health Service card; certificate of registered residence.
For unmarried individuals: a single status/widowhood certificate (on plain paper).
For married individuals (even if separated or in a marital community property regime): summary extract of the marriage certificate (on plain paper) issued by the municipality where the marriage was entered into; a copy of the deed of separation of property; a copy of the family asset trust.
For separated/divorced individuals: a copy of the judicial separation decree or final divorce judgement.
Non-EU nationals: residence permit or long-term residence card.

Deed of acquisition (notarial deed or court judgment).
If the acquisition took place through inheritance, the following documents must be submitted: declaration of succession; minutes of the will publication; acceptance of inheritance.
If the property is a real estate unit or land: land registry certificate and layout plan, with indication of the property’s boundaries.
